About the Campaign

Revenue from the Brantford Symphony Orchestra  ticket sales accounts for only a portion of the Orchestra’s income needed to offer our various services and programs.

Donations from corporations, foundations, government agencies, and caring individuals are critical to our operations. We sincerely appreciate all donations, big and small, because without them, we could not continue with our efforts to enrich our community generally and all the people we touch directly.

Our mission is to provide symphonic experiences, giving people of all ages opportunities for musical growth and education.

Brantford Symphony Orchestra / 2019-2020 Season Line Up

A gala evening of great Italian music

On the Culture Days weekend, join us for a Serata Incantevole (‘Enchanting Evening’) of the finest music inspired by Italy. You will be treated to the best from the worlds of opera, stage and popular song, performed by the fabulous Brantford Symphony and two stunning guest artists – the father and daughter duo of Tenor Richard Margison and Soprano Lauren Margison.

More great arrangements of your favourite Christmas tunes. More new season gems to be discovered. More terrific soloists from the Orchestra. Bring your bells to the annual Brantford Symphony Christmas variety show! It is sure to get you into a happy mood that will last through the holidays.

Music by Bach and his Baroque buddies. Includes a brunch buffet and live music performance by a group of Brantford Symphony Orchestra musicians.

Presented at the Brantford Polish Hall, 154 Pearl Street, Brantford ON.

Tickets are $45 and available online at onstagedirect.com/bso

The relationship between music and dance in the Courts of Europe was symbiotic – the steps and gestures of a dance was reflected in the music, and the music influenced the steps and gestures of a dance. The titles of popular dances – Gavotte, Sarabande, Bourée…, were also the titles of pieces of music written by most Baroque composers like J.S. Bach. Joining us to explain and demonstrate some representative dances, with music performed by the BSO strings, is Jeannette Lajeunesse Zingg, Co-Artistic Director of Toronto’s Opera Atelier and Specialist in Baroque Dance, and two members of Opera Atelier.
